is the 46c temp idle or under load?
unsa ang imo HSF and CPU?
nag OC ka?
are you using stock thermal paste? (arctic silver 5 thermal compound may help reduce temps a bit)
kay murag kusog ra lagi ang rpm ana to keep it at that temp?

i'm also using a Tt Beetle @ 2518rpm (para dili saba) on the 2500+ Barton PC (not OC'd)
and on a normal summer day (meaning alimuot kay wa ko mag aircon hehe)
idle temp: 45 - 46C
load temp: 49 - 50C
system temp: 36 - 38C
(note: athlonXP's are known to run a bit hotter than a64's)

the point is at the RPM i'm running the HSF i'm still getting acceptable temps on a hot day which means you don't really need to max out your fan speed to get decent temps. if tarong pagka taod imo HSF sa CPU and maayo ug air flow ang case.

i'm not familiar with your mobo bro pero maybe its 'cause aside from an active hsf on my chipset ive also got a 120mm side panel case fan directed towards that area... maybe its the airflow?! I have 2 intake fans up front and 1 exhasut sa back plus a twinfan psu which can also help get the hot air out of the case... But acceptable ra man na ang imo temps bro. Di ba na nimo ma set ang temps sa nTune for when the alarm is suppose to go off? 'Cause maybe you can set it higher para dili samok?! Although ang A64 2800+ (754) namo sa office more or less has similar system temps to mine! Both my system and the one in the office have epox boards in them.

The temps i posted are average but on some isolated cases like maybe if it gets really hot maabot siguro 40c but panagsa ra pud na... i'm not so sure about the accuracy of the epox USDM though! Do you guys know of another way to tell temps aside from the utility that came with the mobo?

Akoa part naa koy A64 3000+ in stock Fan & Heatsink akong mobo kay Epox 9NPA3 Ultra then murag 1 time tungod siguro sa pagpidpid sa wires sa PSU sa fan sa akong Proc, wa nuon nituyok until I checked it...Take note nga ang PSU nag taoranan sa akong mobo below sa proc maong naay tendency nga ang fan ma igo sa wires sa PSU...

Ang temp kay niabot ug 60C++ then pagayo nako sa wires sa akong fan kay naOK na ang tuyok but naa ra xa sa 50C++... I check pa nako daan kung pilay rpm sa fan... di man hinuon saba pero audible...

Ok ra ba na nga temp sa proc? kay wala ra ba ko nagOC... Wala man pud koy gitaod nga thermal paste... naa koy silicon greese (HTC) pwede ra ba na siya?

Mga bro... update lang ko sa akong question... Ang akong CPU temp mga bro kay 45~49C idle then kung mag generals ko or other games kay muabot ug 55~57C naa pud time abot2x na ug 60C... ok ra na siya para sa A64 3000+ s939? Nya ang akong CPU Fan kay muabot gud ug 5500RPM just like what was posted here... then diba angkuy mas hot ang XP sa A64? Ok ra ba ni siya? Ty!

@ maRckie we have the same proc but im using TT beetle my idle temp is 46-48c and load temp is 49-51c this temp is during

the day considering that i dont have AC but during the night it would max at 48c during full load and i also have a friend using


the same proc and stock fan his would max at 55c...

for me bai murag init ra kaau imo proc considering ur using A64, as what i've read on other threads ang common nga proc nga

muabot ana nga temp are intel presscott type...

u myt need to apply some thermal paste or change the stock fan....

thanks bro... I think i really will be replacing it but i got no budget for that pa as of now... anyways, i have here a Heat Thermal Compound which we put in our heatsinks sa among manufacturing... (sa work...) can i use this?

Mga bro wala ni nako gi overclock, nya stock fan ni. It's an Intel P4 2.4ghz presscot. I know nga sikat ni siya sa iya pagkainit pero d man ni ing-ani sauna! max nga rpm ani kay mga 4400 kung ting-init, nahibulong ko karon kay mga 30 mins palang gamit mu shoot naman taas iya RPM!!!!! 46c is Idle, kung mag photoshop ko, taas na kaayo na ang 54c ako maabot! I only use photoshop ani nga pc, nothing else. I dont even play games on it.

Macontrol ba ni ang stock fan?? Is there something wrong with the temp sensor sa fan? Almost two years pa nuon ni pero karon pa man ni nahitabo!!!!

I have no complaints sa cpu temp, ang ako lang hibugngan mga bro kay inig mag photoshop ko like opening a large file, or magexecute ko levels,curves o filters mas mu-kusog o mu-utong man ang fan nya mubalik na sad sa iya normal nga gikusgon!!!!

Its the same here sa ako pc. In my exp., once CPU temp nako muabot na gani 48C, HSF fan would increase RPM.Â* I think it is somewhat dependent sa thermal management sa imo motherboard.Â* btw, my CPU idle temp is 41C/3700 rpm ang fan, normal temp is 48C, loaded temp so far is 51C/4500 rpm.Â* I'm using stock fan and no overclocking but i use arctic silver though.
