Sir, I don't want to be sound cynical but in our time [present], irrelevant na kaayo ang coming of Christ. Daghan na kaayo predictions, expectations, aspirations and they are all left unanswered. Like one teaching that Mary still a virgin after conceiving a child. But still people think that she was still a virgin.
should we actually say that she was a virgin before she conceived a child, not after? I mean, would that be funny to think? I have 2 kids and it would be funny that I would still consider myself a virgin after having 2 children. hehehe...
That's an ideal one...are you not bothered that it will soon going to end someday?
Hmmm...such self-righteousness, now we know 'self-righteousness' is not a monopoly only by 'religious people'...what makes you think I'm a religious person Chad?![]()
i fear death. do you?
i apologize for the poor choice of words. maybe not religious. a "believer" is more appropriate.Hmmm...such self-righteousness, now we know 'self-righteousness' is not a monopoly only by 'religious people'...what makes you think I'm a religious person Chad?
Ti's okay Ms., sometimes I kind of think in that way too...but we should not forget that:
Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
If we believe in Christ yet not believe in His promise, I don't know what we can make out of our faith in Him...nganu kaingon man ka nga irrelevant na kaayo ang coming ni Christ for the second time?
Well, what does it mean to be a virgin? She was a virgin before she concieved Christ- Immaculate Conception..because she did not sleep with a man to bear a child. Yes, you are right afterwards she could not be a virgin anymore since she did become Joseph's wife and perhaps begot children with Joseph..
But the title remains with her as the Virgin Mother to commemorate her part in ushering in man's salvation, conceiving Christ in the way of God and not the way of man...
If you mean death as the end of my existence...yes, I dreaded it. Having admitted that (you), deep inside yourself do you not rebel against that reality?
Okay no problem, but why did that came out from you? I sense some tint of anger or hatred in you for anything that sounds something like religious. I find it peculiar for both fanatic believer and profess non-believer to blurt out in-appropriate words when discussing what one chooses to believe...nganu kaha na Chad?
By the way when I say 'self-righteousness' it does not only mean about morals but also our limited human understanding...
