Face to Face forum replay on ANC Wed, 10:30 pm after The World Tonight
Here's what the aspiring presidents have said:
Gibo: Gibo: Give LGUs leeway in using funds for disaster management | ABS-CBN News Online Beta
Chiz: Chiz wants Con-con under new gov't | ABS-CBN News Online Beta
Villar: Villar: Increase tax collection, not LGUs? revenue share | ABS-CBN News Online Beta
It was an interesting forum. With all fairness to Chiz, he did great; not the 'all talkie' that he usually is or rather as I perceived him to be. He has concrete solutions and the means to get there. I just get distracted with the way he talks- it's said to be part of his charm but sounds like reciting a poem to me (and so much tagalog gives me nosebleeds gyud).
As for Gibo, he really is a solution-oriented person, not pretentious, and among the 4 has the most knowledge of the LGU system. He turns red from time to time during the duration of the question and answer, funny.
Manny Villar always fails to impress me. Watched a fair share of forum with him as one of the speakers and (it could just be me) his ideas are simply not that outstanding for a presidentiable. I inadvertently fell asleep at the last leg of his interview and for the most part of Noynoy's (woke up at the last 10-15 mins) so I have no further comment. Good thing there's a replay tomorrow.![]()
ako pud, ako jud ning atngan. .
kita gyud ang katag ani.... Go Gibo!
Gilbert "GIBO" Teodoro was the clearest... His policies, ideas and solutions were very clear. He really stands firm with principles and integrity. Gilbert "GIBO" Teodoro is now making a difference.
Noynoy is really trying to come up with solutions of his own but his answers are not concrete. He answers will confidence, he smile every time he speaks. I hope people will not perceive it as insincerity.
Villar is the most experienced among the 4. I still see the usual Sen. Manny Villar. He still don't know where he stands.
Chiz still uses his poetic-styled speeches. He tries to be aggressive with his answers and blames to administration.
I wish to see more of this in the future.
LGU is finished so I think other sectors will follow as audience/questioners.
Business Sector/commerce
Farmers and Fishermen
Urban Poor
Youth & Women
and more
Base on the forum's outcome, Gilbert "GIBO" Teodoro will still have my vote.
i never liked chiz. a co-worker who hails from the same town where he came from, told me that this guy actually studied the way he talks today. And his simplicity here in the capital does not reflect how they are in their hometown.
I knew about Gibo when their party announced he was the standard bearer. From what he is showing, he seems to have the potential.
i forgot the names of the other 2 who joined the forum. lolz.
