alcohol? really?

i use isoprophyl alcohol to clean my LCD monitor (green cross), so far okay paman.

I do recall, while working for a hardware support capacity, several LCD monitors and LCD Laptop monitors destroyed by alcohol. At least a dozen cases. One client even destoyed it using a DVD-cleaning solution, when I looked at the bottle it said isopropyl alcohol. It seems like there are LCD coatings that are dissolved by alcohol. I know, not all, but would you really risk it? I would not even try.

Considering how much money I put on it, and the cost of a single bottle of alcohol? I wouldn't even have any second thoughts. Its hard to clean up the damage when it has been done.

when cleaning electronic stuff, never ever use alcohol based cleaners..dude..

For my gadgets, I prefer a lot of them to be in matte.

Glossy = prone to visible scratches and finger prints.

I hate Glossy Finishes so much... Dali kaayo mahugaw, ma scratch and a lot more. I don't want a fingerprint magnet.

If it weren't for apple spoiling their stuff with glossy finishes we wouldnt be in this mess.
