The writer said: With the possible exception of the last twenty minutes, when there are a few glimpses of the X-Men world of the trilogy, Wolverine plays more like a watered-down First Blood than a superhero adventure. Motivations are largely vengeful, without any of the sense of wonder that characterizes the best of the superhero genre.

I never got to watch Wolverine, and I'm not looking forward to its DVD release.

I though about watching it when it opened in theaters last May, but then something convinced me to skip it - Star Trek!

So instead of paying over P100 for Wolverine, I waited for the next weekend and saw Star Trek. What did I get? A very handsome return of investment - a great cinematic experience that Star Trek delivered.
