ayaw lang disabled iya sata kay mohinay ang performance sa imo HDD. Techsup ko sa HP before bro but naa nako other company krn, if mka provide ka external floppy hatagan tka sa driver sa SATA para mka install ka og XP. PM me if interested ka or contact my company 2364315.

mag pa tabang ta ko ninyo.. i have a Compaq CQ35 laptop .. nya gusto nako XP pro ang ako OS na gamiton .. ang prob is dili maka install ug xp mo blue screen dili ka tiwas .. kay tungod naka SATA mode man .. so ang gusto nako i disable ang sata then, enable ang IDE (mostly mao buhaton para mo install ug xp sa bago nga laptop) .. , pero naa nasad prob, wala ang option sa BIOS> system config para maka enable/disable ka sa SATA/IDE ... try searching sa net, pero di ko ka gets/dili mo work..

There are lots of Compaq/HP notebooks (and i was just told Dell) na wala na ang AHCI settings. The support people are saying it is "designed for Vista" only, XP cannot be installed. I think this is BS, forcing the user into an inferior OS (at least until Windows 7 comes to retail).

I was making a slipstreamed XP CD for our office laptops, with AHCI drivers. Maybe this will help not only this person, but many others (you still need to use your own license, activation). I'm just concerned newer units will appear faster than I can make the slips. There is a torrent that has LOTS of AHCI drivers built into XP installer. This isn't pre-activated, and you need to supply your own number, so I think this is legal. Its not cracked.
