eagle kill chicks because it is their nature.. it is karma-less action.. humans on the other hand, because by virtue of free will, we choose to kill to eat.. you can't tell an eagle to stop and think about not killing the rat.. they don't have free will.. its all automatic for them because it is their nature.. walay conscience ang eagle or other animals, they just do what they are programmed to do in their nature.. that is different with humans..
the significant border differentiating karma and karma-less actions in humans is suspicion or doubt on what you are doing.. when you stop to think about it, then that action will definitely produce some karma.. if you do it intuitively, like automatic na, then it will be karma-less.. the basis behind this is because of your ego. when we do things without thinking what it will do to us (our ego) we are committing an action that is ego-less, therefore it is karma-less.
