hehehe...saktuh gyud ka sir, you are confused. As frequent traveler like yourself, ang rates diri sa pinas deperensya gamay sa guwas coz they are forced to post prices not in pesos but also in dollars where by nature, fluctuating ang value. If you have checked the websites, like most hotels ang rates is always $price+++ like $90+++ this will give an impression of the range and not the fix or NET price of the rooms. Best is to ask thru email or call them for the exact rates sa time ka mag check-in. Blackmarket thing...is your preference, I personally dont agree with it and wont endorse the use of it. Kindly check the link below to verify this claim:

Microtel Philippines - Mactan Island Cebu

As for the food, the hotel is getting its food from the neighboor Abaca coz wala pa ang hotel ilang own. Guess tie up sila, start-up paman ang hotel. For the koreans..aws wala na ka mahimu. maski asa nah sila saba-an gyud kaayu but u can always see them coz they are the biggest market that we have now for years na diri sa cebu. If im not mistaken no.1 neh sila customers sa cebu and some are already making good businesses diri. They give a strong impact to the economy of Cebu. Try Plantation bay, medyu mingaw gyud and spacious kaayu or Abaca itself. These are different markets sa hotel where they ask for lesser persons as per ratio sa area sa hotel mau medyu secluded gyud and mingaw where u can relax better. Of course the rates are way different...diba.

Promoting this hotel for fellow istoryans, I happend to check the hotel personally and know the owners as well. I will let them know about the reviews here. In this class of hotels, I give them 8/10 for my review. I still recommend this hotel as per price and value. Thanks for checking in yourself and the good insights given. Let's watchout for another hotel coming, IMPERIAL HOTEL this summer na!...still in mactan area. We never know what they have stored for us.

Was disaapointed when i checked in last December at Microtel Cebu, very disappointed with the service they gave us....pag park pa lang daan namu sa among sakyanan,gi-badlong dayon mi kay dili daw pwede kato nga lugar parkingan, gipa balhin mi sa gawas na parking area - but since customer ko,wala mi nagpatu-o sa guard, the guards beg for us to transfer kay kasab-an sila sa tag-iya, told the guard nga i'll just talk to the manager, check-in procedure pwerting dugaya, almost one hour me nag stay sa lobby, under staff sila, they should have hired more front desk personnel kay its peak season and i guess they were fullybooked during that time. Last December 2008, WIFI is not free, a big hotel without a FREE WIFI, mas maayo pa ang mga ordinary pension house sa Cebu City kay free wifi pa....requested a bucket of ice, it took them almost two hours to deliver it to our room with 5 follow-ups....ang reason, nahutdan sila kay guba ilang ice maker, namalit pa sa gawas...tsktsktsk...

They're fairly new that's why daghan pa kaayo paltos. We can always expect that. There's still room for improvement.
