@angkuy, i couldnt agree more than what you've mentioned. it is a fact that pc enthusiasts or overclockers shares a little percentage in the the market.

what i can say is that, the bottom line to this is:
1. "how much budget" and "to what purpose" are you going to use your setup.
2. to what extent is your heart's content seeing your rig going into the limits
3. your satisfaction that your rig runs faster over your neighbor's

if i were you, i'll wait for conroe................. really, hapit naman daw bro... conroe really looks very promising... current intel dual cores' prices will dive after conroe's release so mag mahay raka sa pentium d's and a64 939's will die by the end of the year... so, wait for conroe bro!!

f dli na jud ka huwat, may pa palit nlng Intel 805. anyway, when conroe comes ds year, it will utilize d same socket (775). maybe a bios update will be available to identify the conroe's in ur current socket 775 mobo. f u go for AMD, better wait for d new socket AM2. hapit na btw

i think conroe will need a new chipset... not sure though if it's going to be compatible with the current 945's...

conroe uses chipset 975(on the spring exhibit) family and above(newer ones probably when this chips are out).
hopefully 945 and 955's will just need a bios flash. sayang naman mga mobo na toh.

p5p800-se, supports the 805 and uses the good old ddr1 and agp...

yup, an Intel D975XBX (in the spring IDF preview) which is already available now so pwede kaayo kani sa paliton if di na kahuwat nya parisan lang sa ug 805 kay if mas mahal pa ana sayang man pud if plano jud mag upgrade ug conroe ig gawas.

only means one thing.. --> it overclock like crazy as the PD820

btw.. this PD805 has a multiplier of 20 correct? hmmnn.. this really good budget friendly overclocker since you wont need a high end or expensive ram bec of the high multiplier.
