as good as it sounds, not all chips are unlockable. there are numerous discussions all over different enthusiast forums that this is a marketing strategy. not all chips unlock, so basically, its like a lottery -- someone gets a chip that unlocks and tells the world, the rest will flock to get the same processor hoping to get it unlocked as well.
kudos to AMD for such a clever strategy, though.
