this is a brilliant proposal.. ideally those who want to be elected in the SENATE or CONGRESS must have a degree in LAW and also those vying for the Presidential position must have an MBA degree or perhaps a DOCTORATE...kanang 'able to read and write' na clause sa CONSTITUTION kinahanglan ibasura nana..

a college degree (at least) should be a MUST requirement..how much more that he/she (public official) will be leading and/or handling the whole nation which is by far, inherently requires greater responsibility than any work i can imagine...

also, as for the legislature (Senate and Congress), aspiring candidates must have some law degree since they are technically the lawmakers of our land..

Ok baya sad ning proposal ni Santiago. Pero di japon ni kalusot dayon kay debatihan pa unya ni. This entails amending the Constitution. Maayo pa guro, part of the proposal... it should be a MUST to the Legislative Body. Dapat tanan congressmen or congresswomen must be all lawyers.
