If your friends are playing toys….for the big boys, all day long, almost 7 days a week, then we have different type of friends, because mine were making sure there is always food in the table, bills are always getting paid, and their wives or girlfriends can go shopping as often as possible.

you're the one who said let's paint a picture about the real world, but does "all day long? 7 days a week" playing games exist in the real world to you? there wasn't any mention of those time frames in my posts as far as frequency in playing games are concerned. besides, my examples were doing the yard, household chores and running errands, do you do these all day long 7 days a week?. these are the stuff that often gets neglected when men starts to play those games.

let me ask the men here in Istorya on which they'll prefer doing: play a game on PS2 or do the chores?

Just because a person plays playstation at the age of 40, doesn't mean that fellow is immature.^^this line alone doesn't prove immaturity and it doesn't prove maturity as well..

that’s true, women were just getting higher roles in our society, but let me ask you: in a 2-person election contest, would you rather pick a man whom do you think is less mature than the woman, just because he's a man, or you would still vote for the more matured woman?

if you're asking me this question, maturity alone is not my "end all be all" in finalizing my decision in voting in an election. it's one of the characteristics I'd consider but I'd analyze the whole package carefully.

Based on the majority of the members here of course, Filipino or Cebuano culture…….and this is in reference to the father as being look up to or shall we say, has the respect more than the mother because he is simply….the father.

does being looked-up to or gaining more respect from your children necessarily make one more mature over the other? and this helped you come up with conclusion that the fathers are more mature than the mothers in a family?

OK let me just put this into a few simple words so you can understand. There is a higher level of expectation to men(as compared to women) to become a mature individual as they(or we) would eventually become the head of the family. For an instance, assuming both the man and the woman are doing or behaving the same, people would still see the woman as more mature than the man, that’s why I came up with the height example.

both are expected to be mature if they decide to get married in the first place. "putting food on the table", that's a man's responsibility. "looking after the kids", that's a woman's responsiblity. but that no longer holds true in this era. both are expected to "put food on the table and look after their kids" at the same time. to say that men are more mature in this scenario (marriage) compared to women or vice versa is highly debatable.

No one(including you) ever questioned her what she meant on her follow-up statement….. and nobody labeled her as a sexist, or perhaps no one said, she sounded like a sexist…

for me lang, maturity is not measured by what kind of lifestyle the person has, or what hobbies he do.. cz it's like what this thread is emphasizing on.. whether a man is playing ps2 makes him immature.. or women taking care of her children makes her more mature than men..
i think maturity is measured merely by how responsible he or she can be given a particular situation.. or how he/she handles life..

case to case na mga bro. there really are women who are more mature than men depending on many factors such as age, upbringing sa parents, education, etc. and vice versa.
so this question can't really be answered by a yes or no.
