Intosan Resort with a website
intosan_site is a well known Hotel, Restaurant, Waterpark and Family Fun Village.
Last December 05, 2009, a group of colleagues of mine planned a short work getaway and decided to go to Intosan Resort, Danao City, Cebu to have some plain fun and to remove stress from work. Those working all know how stressful work can be.
We arrived there at around 6:30pm and stayed in some of the standard rooms near the poolside. There are grilling areas placed strategically to cater the cooking needs of its patrons, a table with 3-4 chairs for every rooms, the pools are great and the lighting created an awesome ambiance.
While grilling some pork and chicken for dinner, we left our bags with valuables in it at the rooms that was assigned to us. Locked the door for extra security and brought the key with us. Since we felt safe and secure, we placed our tables in the poolside area just to be able to see the awesome pool view and nature presence.
Right after dinner, one of our colleagues went back to their assigned rooms to get something, and when she opened the door of their room, she was welcomed with a traumatic sight before her. Their bags were all gone (3 in total), she assumed that one of our colleagues hid it under the bed for security purposes. But when she peaked underneath the bed with no bags on sight, she started to panic. looked around and saw some rubbish near the table where the TV was placed... Looked at the ceiling and there she saw a big whole... There she then knew what happened.
Someone climbed on the top of the ceiling and then kicked the ceiling from on top.. Made a way for that someone to be able to get inside the room, took everything on sight and then used the front door for his escape.. And locked it on the way out for a quick getaway.
She then ran for help and told the others that their bags were long gone... The others checked the vicinity to look for the culprit with no avail! The asked help from the Management but with very little initiative and willingness to cooperate. We still need to tell them what do to for them to act on it.. No initiative at all. No customer service of any sort was serviced to us and to the victims. They then called up the local police for help to form a search party for the lost valuables. But again with no avail..
Full night search when on.. Fun was gone.. Enjoyment was cut off. Stress was building up..
The next morning. The manager was so slow in coming in to investigate the incident.. If I were the manager and an incident like this happened in my place of responsibility, I would make it to a point to come as early as possible and to help assist the situation. But unfortunately, it was otherwise. The manager lacked the initiative that we were looking for. We still are the ones spoon feeding her what to do. It was an awful sight. It wasn't a short vacation at all.. It was one hell night with nightmares as its breakfast/lunch/dinner.
All this said, I therefore discourage everyone of you from visiting this Resort. Remember, Intosan Resort. Do not visit, do not patronize. Or you will surely regret it as we did.
