But somehow I understand what it means... first, apes are not descendants of men... they are distant cousins that came from one source. Imagine a tree, with that tree, there are branches and those "branches" are figuratively speaking are different types of species. Apes are one of those "branches" not as what you think that men came from Apes. Because that is totally a wrong conclusion. However, creationists arguably strong with this ideas because they can't pin point the reason why there are still apes in this planet while the fact is that... they are actually your cousins... my cousins.. everyone's cousins.
