I do not imply that walay sayop ilang pamalakad. Tawo mana cla ug dili mga santos...I have been stressing this over and over again that we should give credit where it is due. Let's acknowledge their accomplishments but keep vigilant of things that they do.

We should refrain giving prejudicial and presumptive accusations without providing enough basis to do so. ky kung mao nalay atong mentalidad, mura ratag gagisa sa atong kaugalingong mantika. An environment of fair play is badly needed here.

u r correct on that...except that the transfer was from a gov't bank to another gov't bank, not a private bank. I dunno unsa na nay nahitabo ron if commercial banks naapil napud sa transfer. mao btaw usahay pataka ra tong usa ug yawit wala diay gani kahibalo ug unsa gyud...

Province moves P600M funds to another bank

The Cebu provincial government has pulled out about P600 million funds in deposit from a government-owned bank and transferred it to another government bank.

The provincial government yesterday transferred P671.9 million to Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) from Land Bank of the Philippines.

Gov. Gwen Garcia said PVB was the only bank that was willing to accept their “extra funds” in the form of T-bills and fixed deposits.

he said the deposit would be good for 30 days while the province conducts a bidding on which commercial bank can present better deal to the province.

“I challenge all banks to study and come up with your own proposal that may be the highest and the best proposal,” she said.

The fund was withdrawn from the Land Bank after Garcia got upset when it released funds to Tudela Mayor Rogelio Baquerfo Sr. without informing her.

The governor wrote Land Bank officials on Tuesday to seek the termination of 17 different accounts with the bank, amounting to P671.9 million.

“They've had three strikes already and each time illustrating their complete disregard of us whom they refer to as their favored client,” said Garcia.

She said she had received several complaints on the bank’s “poor service.”

The governor said she would also seek the termination of Capitol’s payroll account with Land Bank.
