160gb Hard Drive.

Now, ang akong diskarte on powering down my rig is setting my power options sa control panel. I set the maximum processor state to 30% and my minimum is 5%. I also turn off my monitor and i-unplug it whenever im out of the house. Looks like im also going to unplug my keyboard and my mouse to make it more efficient.

Also, this is my semi-torrent rig and my XAMPP server. If im out of the house I use RealVNC to do little work from outside to here.

I'll take the undervolting trick and some of intel's technology you guys mentioned into consideration as it may work. As for the video card(LOL FERN), i'll underclock this thing tonight.

wow ha, 5-30%, murag "green" kaayo jud ka da, hehehe...

as for unplugging, yep, naa jud differnce kung i-unplug nimo ang whole system from the outlet if la ka gamit. standby modes still takes up kuryente. if ure using USB, its ok to unplug mouse n keyboard. for those using PS2 ports, not suggested kay naa tsansa malubag ang pins....

@personal, going green is a good thing.

I have underclocked my processor as well and removed a couple of fans and fan filters kay mura para nako, somewhere there is a wasted energy. When I need it, overclocked na pud.

xampp, web server package, naa na ni mail, ftp, http server, naa pd sql. mao ni ako gamit sa amo LAN, hehehe, bisan ingon ang xampp nga pang-testing ra and not as a permanent server solution.
