Understanding the human nature, human knowledge, human instincts, human biology, and human mind is far more difficult than understanding the bible, the Qur'an, and any other "holy" literatures of the ancient pretenders.

Life makes more sense when you look back to the lessons learned. But you can't stay and live in the past, you only need to bring its lessons in order to move on.

yes sir. that is essentially what i mean. rand may not be a bible reader but we can be objective like her when we approach the bible. but no matter how objective we are to approaching the bible we cannot know every mystery behind it so we just entrust to its divine author.

It means simply that you learned from your past choices, whether they're good or not, you used it to live your life in the ever present of today. Don't get stuck on you're past wrong choices in life, our choices are part of our becoming who we are.

No shame in commiting mistakes, most people do it everyday, only that some people are better in learning from their past mistakes and get better in their life because of it. Unless you don't risk to commit mistakes again there's no way your life gonna move forward.

That's how the quote means to me.
