UNDERGRAVEL FILTER or INTERNAL GRAVEL FILTER
I have found a crude illustration that I have made using mspaint before, this is what we call DIY Under Grave Filter.
Most hobbyist in Manila uses this setup. Most have much success on it. Highly debated is the possibility of clogging the PVCs with the substrate. But so far no one confirmed that their UGF clogged up.
This might be an alternative filter for us guys here in Cebu.
