i don't count Bose... mahal mahal lng pero bati performance... maypa mag assemble nlng ug bookshelf speakers for the price... from many reviews...

hehehe, daghana brand name na compare oie... yea it really depends on the user.. but just a quick question: which would you guys prefer? creative, altec or edifier?

i have both altec and creative. dpndi ra sa nyo preference and model oist. naa new altec lansing orbit try na nnyo. mas nndot compared to xmini prodct. battery operated lng noon. but nice. got one from sir jungie.

Bati na selection sa mga computer speakers karon sa market. Di na kaayo daghan mapili-an. I think logitech killed the competition.. now we're stuck with their products and wala na kaayoy innovation/competition sa market.

Altec had pretty decent speakers katong ACS 45 powercube era nila. Creative thru Cambridge had good products sad sauna with their soundworks, microworks, gigaworks.

Nindot tong time nga Klipsch still had the Promedia 5.1 Ultra then nag compete with the Logitech Z-5xxx series , Creative/Cambridge had their gigaworks and Altec had their 641, 621 series...

Now that Klipsch opted out of the PC speaker market... logitech nalang nabilin sa premium 5.1 speaker valui category ($200-$300 price range)... w/ the Z5500.


Sakto si MrA,

1. Klipsch was the best because they had good hi's, mids and lows
2. Cambridge (Creative).. they had good products sa ilang megaworks, gigaworks line albeit expensive
3. Logitech had good mid and low... kulang ug tweeter ilang satellites
4. Ok pa tong Creative when they partnered with Cambridge... pero today although relatively cheaper... nagkabati naman ilang products.
5. Altec just makes crappy speakers today post Altec 621/641. With the old altecs... they have good bass pero not good enough mid and high vs. the rest. The current altecs... wala na gyuy ayo.


There were other players also... JBL, Boston Acoustics, Nakamichi...

lisod debatehan if we just compare brands. per product basis nuon pwede. some products sa creative mas maayo sa altec, in the same token that some product sa altec mas maayo sa creative (compare products in the same price range: low end, mid range and hi end)
