Kuyawa ani oi. Had a similar experience sa Bangkok before.

Me & my parents just went out sa MBK (Mall nila), when a Thai guy approached us and said he knew us from the hotel where we where staying. He said he know a store that sells many cheap goods. He said he has a tuktuk driver-friend who can bring us there. We obliged and road the tuktuk (ilang tricycle didto)...When we reached a building, giablihan dayon mi sa pultahan. Pagsulod namo, jewelry store diay. We roamed around pero wa gyud mi namalit kay kibaw mi commission gyud to sa tao ug sa tuktuk driver. When we went out, we saw the driver talking to the guy nga niabli sa pultahan. They knew each other very well. Wala namin nisakay niya. Naningil pa sya namo ug bayad sa tuktuk. Wa namo gipansin as if wa mi kasabot. Nagdali mi ug lakaw palayo....

Sa kadtong moadto ug Bangkok, pagbantay nalang mo. There must be a lot of horror stories pa. Good thing walay nahitabo namo nga dautan.

heard a story about this scam as well, ila stones and jewellery are fake, nya matempt ka mopalit kay barato ra man...so ingat na lang jud if moagi sa Thailand...
