sorry but imho, pH (power of hydrogen) and water hardness (GH and KH) are 2 different things.

pH is a measure of how acidic or alkaline water is, with 7 indicating neutral. values below 7 indicate water is acidic while values higher than 7 indicates water is alkaline.

GH and KH are often used to indicate the buffering capabilities of your water. the higher the value is, the "more resistant" to pH changes the water is. it indicates how much dissolved trace minerals are in the water.

    just my 2 cents c",)

to be more precise, gH and kH are also two different things. kH is the aforementioned buffer while gH is nothing more than dissolved calcium and magnesium. But im sure only a handful of readers care. hehehe

I just dont understand why lava rocks are being used to harden water when cebu water is already liquid rock. Taga manila nagpa uso ani nu? because manila water is very soft.
