Orthodox Judaism does not disbelieve in the concept of reincarnation. And the concept of Karma and Christianity's deeds and judgments are very similar. Good acts and Evil acts return to us, and we will be rewarded or punished by them. Hindus do not believe in heaven or hell, only that if you finally achieve Nirvana (perfection) then you poof into a state of non-existence.

The reason you do not "remember" your past life is because your memory resides in your brain
and your soul level is still low.
Its like your computer memory only has a low memory space.
and memory is dependent mostly of the brain (which died with the body).

But to high level souls, they were able to have residual memories.
These residual memories stayed in the soul even if there's no brain memory anymore.

a child with the soul of a genius in the previous life
