yup, im into gaming... especially nfs-mw...
i have read in many threads already that AMD is better than Intel in terms of games... but im still confused... hope somebody can help...

also with the right motherboard for AMD or if i'll get the dual core... what do you think part?

Hold it right there, its a netburst... soon it will die... conroe will be offering several multicore options

they all have good points... its a good read if you can spare some time to read em all... esp. the part about heat and power consumption and spending more in the long run!

But if you compare AMD Athlon64 3000+ to this Intel PD 2.66GHz Dual Core... who'll be beaten? Im looking at their heat and power consumption and I think that they're on head to head... However, AMD has only 1.8GHz speed...

and by the way athlon64 venice 3000+ has a very huge headroom for overclocking anyway...
