maybe someone accidentally clicked on a fake virus scan which resulted to that virus.
i strongly suggest you switch to firefox, the latest one.
IE browsers are way more vulnerable to viruses.

also, make sure you clean all temporary internet files from the Documents and Settings folder. ALL of them, for all user folders, 'coz most viruses will stick on those files and continue to infect your computer.
documents and settings -> check all user folders -> local settings -> temporary internet files AND temp files -> delete all the files there.

hmm, sa akong IE i seldom go to tools>internet options>delete files then apil sad offline contents.. mas madali man gud og load ang pages..but wenever i feel sumtings wrong ako idelete.. mao na cya nga mga internet files ang naa pod sa Documents and Settings>local settings>temporary internet files nga folder?

1. Never use AVG. AVG has the potential to create there own virus just to promote that they can really detect it.
2. Never use IE. Disable it permanently.
3. Never try System Restore especially when your computer is still infected.
Anyway you should be more vigilant in website links your trying to access.

DOS + Regedit = die stubborn viruses.

goto dos, del the progman manually, go del all ur user temp files,goto msconfig kill all startup entries sa atong programa / malicious or suspicious apps, and lastly use registry editor = kill all entries related sa kanang programa / malware. nyhahhaahhaa

dont compiansa, del entries sad sa startpsysrestore points sa hdd, some virus will create a start up entry.

hmm hehe dli man ko sweto gud sa regedit sir, then kung unsa pod ang panghilabtan sa registry.. i tried sad sa startup, unsaon diay pg-identify nga sa virus na cya? naa mnsad gud mga wierd names sa startup nga system diay ang gagamit.. hehe registry mechanic rman akong gamit para sa registry gud.. i dunno f maayu ba sad to hehe..
