haha...this was really not me...it's somebody else...trust me....

    Here's my stand...

GOD is bigger than any religion...nobody would know GOD just by accepting one...by just grasping one...
He/She'll be truly acquainted with HIM through one's self...because we are HIS image...or through his creations...because we are all his reflections...
As someone said... religion are just "crutches" in doing so...
There is no right or wrong "crutches"...there's just simply a right one that fit so well for his/her self...

GOD has no holy book nor any divine literature contain in a mundane hardbound/softbound...I just couldn't agree that the bible is and only is....if HE has one in this world we are living in, I think the pages the bible contain is just so minute...the koran would be the same...
The bible/koran is just a part of it...the rest?...you can find it in your lover's eyes...in your parent's laughter...in the roses...in the portrait of a sunrise / sunset...in a healthy forum in this thread...

However, "crutches" wouldn't hurt...unless everybody is aware that it's beauty came in its difference/uniqueness/wierdness/diversity...

Default Do we really need religion?

Are we really obliged to have a religion in order to express our faith to GOd?

Can't we not worship Him directly without us getting into a certain religion.

No offense t0 anyone i just want your kind and honest opinion.

We have the capacity to learn and to adopt, we have our own intelligence to digest and construe things as it comes to mind, and yes we can study and learn about GOD, but knowing GOD without so much faith is of another matter, so that is when religion steps in to establish faith and strengthening it by guiding you, so I assume that we do need a religion.

There are people who need guidance to GOD...
It is safe to say that it is not an obligation though...

it's not necessary man cguro that you need religion, as long as your heart is open

    to God..

In many ways we don't since much religion is merely man's ideas about God or gods and so unnecessary. Much religion (in Christianity at least) is totally unnecessary in terms of what God Himself regards as essential., and in terms of benefit to those who practice it.

Real religion involves knowing the true and living God who 'does not dwell in temples made with hands' and so is unknowable from the perspective of any religious practice we can create ourselves. Thankfully God has appeared in history and spoken and dealt with people and told us about Himself, so we can both know about Him and know Him if we want to since He has given His light to every man.

So, to put it simply, we don't need religion, we need reality.
