I've seen and heard her talk over interviews... and if you think a couple of years living in the U.S. would fix her accent.. I dunno, adults have a hard time fixing their accents.. which also explains those who works at call centers, the accent will always show... man, I've been living here for 12 years and I still have a slight accent. Regardless, accents and enunciations doesn't really show when you're singing .. but when you're interviewed, then that's a different story.

Magazines... articles... I don't see the point... these magazines have their claims but the question still remains. WHY hasn't she made it yet then? She's been coming here numerous times over the years doing concerts and what not She has her A.R. people.. she's paying them to do their job, they have their connections... I bet they have tried to push her stuff to their corporate partners (I've mentioned this so many times.. OVER AND OVER). But why invest on something that is surely a no win situation. The only market/fanbase she will ever have are the FILIPINO communities scattered all over the states.

There's no question about the difference between live and studio setting... believe me, I know. Paris Hilton is even releasing an album. Celine and Fantasia has proven themselves to be great on a live setting. Compare Celine's voice when she reaches the high parts to that of Regine's. Celine's stays compact and steady even when belting out... while Regine's goes nasal (sounds like she's singing through her nose) and it thins out... and she's already screaming at that point.

AGAIN: to answer if she can make it big... after all the years she's been coming and going.. doing solo concerts or shows with other people... why oh why hasn't she broken though the U.S. pop scene? She has the people to help her do it you know. Another factor, can she compete against the local talents here in the U.S.?? ... if you think she can, EXPLAIN how.

Scratching the surface in the U.S. entertainment bizz is like passing an eye of a needle. If an artist goes mainstream, theres a danger that the folks gets fed w/ their tunes, a perfect example of that is Guns & Roses. One artist that is been in music bizz for 23 years & still rakes a ton of dough is Maddona, She always change her style, mood & sound. Â*Its got nothing to do w/ Skin color & gender.Â*Â* If the U.S. music bizz was a racist then there wont be any RnB, Hip-Hop/Rap tunes in the air waves.

Lisod man mo sulod ang usa ka established foreign act diri unless she really is exceptional.. especially ug gamay ra ang community ang mo support nimo to start with. Acts like Shakira, Selena, Marc Anthony, etc.. has made it big diri `cause first off.. there's a big Latino community sa states. They already have a market and media to support their talents. Ang pinoy, gamay ra ang pinoy community.. then usa ra ka channel ang mo tabang ug supporta (TFC) ... plus, dili pa gyud ni available nga channel everywhere sa States.

let's face it... our artists have a lot of talent and potential.... but making it into america is just not a place for them.. and i mean THEM as in EVERY FILIPINO ARTIST.
