Y101/KARTZONE Autocross on SEPTEMBER

Since Bacolod autocross is not pushing thru we decided to hold the 3rd Y101/Kartzone AutoX on Sept. 26/27 2009....tentative dates.

KARTZONE promises you newly refaced asphalt and course alteration of track design to make sure we can give you a better challenge and at more moderate speeds....not a 1st gear only track, but a track that you will have to use gear change more often.

The existing Kartzone track we used in previous events were mostly right hand turns and a minimum left had turn....this time around we will be designing the track to have approximately the same left and right hand turns to make the sport more physically demanding and challenging.....

RACING TEAMS and CLUBS get your cars ready.....you will be surprised by the challenging track we will be giving you this September.

To all racers:

OUR RULES HAVE BEEN SIMPLIFIED: weight-displacement ratio

By Sept. 15, we will have the car scale ready for the participants to start weigh in....classification will be weight displacement ratio....so we will not have to check for lightening, fiberglass panels, etc. We will have a street tire class and an open tire class.

The weigh scales will be at Kartzone for all participants to check their car weight with driver....so you will have an idea of what category you will declare....and come raceday, if right after your run a competitor will call a weight check...then you will have to drive thru the scale for verification...if nobody calls a weight in then you directly exit and they cannot protest that run anymore. The scale is not complicated and you just have to drive thru so it will not take up much time...to weigh a car will be less than 20 seconds....
