we airsofters just need some intense real combat training to beef up the airsoft combat experience we have...that would include physical and military know-how trainings, of course..i believe airsofters who are dedicated to the sport, knows the meaning of it and possesses a high level of patriotism have a great potential to be good soldiers...the govt should consider the idea of recruiting, training and deploying airsofters to back our armed forces...that would save time and money on training since most airsofters know some basics...
no... why.... soldiery and sport are different worlds and will never be merge.... if they want to be soldier let them go thru training.... there are things thought in the boot camp that are available only at the boot camp....
airsofter's are civilians playing to be a soldier and soldier is a soldier..... that's why i never go deeper in this sport since im not a hardcore wannabe....
Suggest to joined this topic where people in service and airsofter discussed regarding this issue -> Airsoft is just combat without the bullets? (A reality check for airsofters) this a reality check...![]()
i hope that some airsoft enthusiasts would just snap-out of the idea that the game prepares them for combat.seven months in basic training coupled with refresher courses on weapons and tactics every now and then is a hell lot different from just playing the game every weekend or so.i tried airsoft but no offense guys, i just don't get the rush out of it.for me the closest you can get to a "real" combat scenario is training with simunitions.

That's probably because the airsoft games you've participated in are the average weekend "speedball" type. If you've experienced doing milsim (Military simulation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) with the AFP, then it's totally different (albeit it's much more difficult to organize milsims). In milsim, airsoft is only one of the many tools used for combat preparedness.
Here is a video of one of the major milsim events in the Philippines. Operation Broadsword, hosted by NASL (Negros) and held every September.

YouTube - OP: BROADSWORD
Additional milsim videos from Team EMC Cebu:
YouTube - Pilot Rescue (Training)
This high rise rescue scenario was held at the Globe Innove building at Ayala Business Park...
YouTube - High Rise Hostage Rescue and Bus Entry
In short, not your average "weekend warrior" game.

can an airsofter survive without food or water, low of ammo, carry a couple of kilos on their back, without sleep or rest, for a couple of days and a chance to face you creator?, MilSim are made to simulate not replicate... you can't compare the real thing from a game.... MilSim are scripted...
airsoft is just game and will always be.... it's just a fantasy....
airsoft and soldiery is worlds apart...

totally agree that milsim is so scripted. its like shooting a scene from a movie. its just plainly for show. id rather engage in a day long or overnight non-stop bivouac rather than joining those milsim games/events we have here. for me thats more milsim.

lingaw lgi ni nga thread,
kadtong mga nag ingon nga mangayo lng silag sniper rifle sugot na sila padala ngadto
i dont think a sniper's job is as easy as what u do in airsoft games(as a sniper pd), i think its not even close to half of what a real sniper should be like...
also diba ang real guns same rajud kaau tanawn sa aeg's, pero ig tira lahi ra kaau... if sniper mo sa inyong airsoft team and inigo jud kaau mo, i dont think same rana ug result when u hold a real sniper rifleand the fact that u are aiming at a real person with the intent to kill him will put heavy stress on you unless if wa jud moy paki and anad sad mo ug patayg tao
heheh
kna lng mga ganado kaau mupatay and mga bilib kaau sa ilang airsoft skills ipadala ngadto
dont get me wrong tho, i play airsoft, i love the game.. pero if i have a choice, id rather stay here in cebu hehehe ive got no reason to go there and get myself killed tungod ra ky na koy airsoft xperience hahahah![]()
@greywolf
korek jud ka sir.... bivouc is the closest thing to experience the real situation out there but not close enough.....
korek.... because airsoft is just a game... if someone nga kaya nila without going to go thru training.... then do it then tell us if you are there na.... don't ever think war is cool cause it never will and hopefully it doesn't exist but it does and it's not cool.... if anyone here think war is like an airsoft game... think again... you don't have time to say hit....

bivouacs or FTX gyud kay lingaw labi na mag gamit ug simunitions.
pero mind you guys lahi gyud ang feeling kung duwa duwa ug tinu-od na opn may it be short range to long range opns.so i would suggest for some people here not to mix up "combat" experience sa airsoft games with military & law enforecement training coupled with years of experience kay ang among trabaho kay dili duwa duwa.
kung papili-on ko i would prefer going to battle with trained reservist
no offense meant
