microsoft case =>
it maybe thrue that ICAC wasn't able to convince microsoft to lower their price. But think of this, how much an XP Prof cost?
but because of the ongoing negotiation, we were allowed to use the home edition instead.
compare the saving you have now, if they strictly implement the use of XP professional version.
maybe for now, it's the best thing that they have given. but negotiation always come and go. who knows in the future, they will give in, lowering their prices or whatever. We can't do an instant and big demand because ICAC is just a small association. But we have strive for more, dili pa lng jud ta paminawon ug maayo sa microsoft.
they don't need to see a banner to know that we are also advocating for open source for they already knew. But they stand firm kay they knew that majority of the in-demand online games do not run with the open source. sa internet cafe, kasagaran, online games ang mibuhi.
if you have your own intrenet cafe and most of your users are gamers, you will feel the difference. . .
if your users are all chatters or plainly internet users, microsoft is not needed.
