it maybe thrue that ICAC wasn't able to convince microsoft to lower their price. But think of this, how much an XP Prof cost?

but because of the ongoing negotiation, we were allowed to use the home edition instead.

compare the saving you have now, if they strictly implement the use of XP professional version.

maybe for now, it's the best thing that they have given. but negotiation always come and go. who knows in the future, they will give in, lowering their prices or whatever. they don't need to see a banner to know that we are also advocating for open source for they already knew. But they stand firm kay they knew that majority of the in-demand online games do not run with the open source. sa internet cafe, kasagaran, online games ang mibuhi.

if you have your own intrenet cafe and most of your users are gamers, you will feel the difference. . .

if your users are all chatters or plainly internet users, microsoft is not needed.

if wala na reklamo mga members ninyo this thread wont even exist in the first place. the problem with you is that instead of hearing out to complaints, you try to challenge your members who you think are misguided by your policies. instead of explaining to them, you want to fight with them.

firstly, dili icac member ang nag una ug post ani nga thread. ika duha, ang iya amigo mo open pa lng, so meaning dli pa cya member.

the explaination are all done during the GMM, seminars or other related gatherings. the problem is, either wala mo attend ang reklamador or silent lng cya during the gathering.

sa d pa bitaw ko member sa icac, i questioned what is ICAC for! but when i was a member, i realized na i should have known tha facts first before lamenting ICAC, but the damage has been done.

caloy lucero himself, questioned ICAC before. but look at him now. he has given more than enough time for ICAC. He may not be perfect. the officers might not be perfect. ( who give a damn who is perfect when nobody is perfect). But they have contributed so much of their time and effort for ICAC. Unya diay biayon lng cla?

Kon naa mo mga personal problem sa mga officers, that's personal and ICAC has nothing to do with that.

Many people lamented against ICAC, but no one ever commended or eulogized them for the one reason why all icafes within 100 m from school have existed until now.

before you have palnned on helping your friend, ICAC have had help them already, mapa member man or hinde, legal man or walay permit.

if You have questions against or for ICAC, please do it professionally. And the BOT will answer you in a professional manner.

If you have formal complaint, file it formally. and it will be settled formally.

correct me if im wrong but what i know of a decent non-profit organization is that they only get funds from donation and not from compulsory membership or monthly fees. i hope i am right of my interpretation of "non-profit"

I can't explain further about non-profit for i might be wrong. but one thing a have read/known:

perpetual succor hospital is classified under non-profit entity

the discussion maybe far, but if they are non-proft why do they have higher fees?

maybe some explaination regarding it applies that to ICAC being a non-profit org.
