    Let the fun begin!
Social influence is defined as change in an individual's thoughts, feelings, attitudes, or behaviors that results from interaction with another individual or a group. Social influence is distinct from conformity, power, and authority.
Genes is under social influence because as we all know it is the basic unit of heredity in a living organism. Our genes determines our traits and personality. It influence people in a way that if we our parents have this kind of traits (being perfectionist) then you as their son/daughter will inherit the characteristics they had because their genetic traits were pass into us. It also change a person's thought, beliefs, behaviors etc.
Culture plays an important role in individual's attitude and beliefs through its norm and standards and we are aware that our culture is very influential in our life. It is under social influence in a way that for example if our culture emphasize collectivism over individualism....then we as a person whose under the influence of our culture will act and give priority to the goals of one's culture and construct identity in relations to other. Like example we Filipinos are so close to our family for our culture teaches us to be that way..to be interdependent to ones relative, while Americans so liberated because their culture say so that they must stand on their own feet and be independent.
Lastly, Gender is the differences bet. male and female and it is under social influence in such a way that our gender determine our behavior as a person. Our gender role is the behavioral norms that society perceive bet, male and female particularly on how they should behave and act. For example if you are born as a girl, generally you should not behave as boys do.

sir, i learned that charles darwin's theory of evolution that man came from apes creates problem and conflict particularly on the beliefs of the church....but the good thing is taht because of it..many scientist emerge to explain the origin of man.. Although in some point I agree in Darwin that natural selection exist for the survival of species that is why evlutionary psychology emerge...

And, of course the topic of evolution is interesting though there are some complexities pero aside ana..it helps us aware that during those times, human *** differences arise because of the pressures of differing physical and social environment...and that is why men and women behave differently

Defend your position! Good for 30 points!
Thinking that the answer to these questions lies with our ancestors, some are still frightened by the thought that man originates from the ape. However, the ape is not an ancestor of man but rather a very distant underdeveloped cousin. The lineage of the hominid from which man came and the lineage of the apes both proceed from primates. Thus, it would be better to say that man originates from animals but has benefitted radically from more vitamins and phosphorus than the dolphin and the gorilla which missed the key turning point of evolution.
Some fear, while others claim, that the relationship between man and the animal kingdom denies the fact that God created man. One could answer by saying that the Bible, in its first book, Genesis, offers a view of evolution which is more radical than making man a descendant of the ape. It claims that he came from the dust of the ground. God created man in his own image... male and female he created them. And God blessed them... (Gen. 1:27,2. It is interesting to note that if the question is put to God : Who is man?, He answers, He is in my likeness.
Man, moreover, is completely distinguished from animals by his intelligence. Even more than intelligence itself and his aptitudes, man possesses something entirely unique: man is the only creature in the universe capable of self examination. He alone can ask the question: Who am I? He can judge and understand what others are doing in terms of right or wrong. He has the same ability within himself, of being aware of good and evil in what he does. In his more or less perfect attempts to define what is right in human relationships and what we call human rights, man is aware that his personal dignity, his right to life and his claim for respect derive from the very fact that he belongs to the human species.

For me, I don't believe that we, humans, came from apes... I do believe that God made us, humans, in His own image and likeness.. And He made us to be His greatest creation.. One thing more... If we came from monkeys and apes.. then why not those monkeys become/ evolved into humans..??

In evolutionary psychology the brain is our physical system. It functions as a computer with circuits that have evolved to generate behavior that is appropriate to environment circumstances. The neural circuits were designed by natural selection to solve problems that human ancestors faced while evolving into homo sapiens. And consciousness is a small portion of the contents and process of the mind.
And according computational theory of mind in evolutionary psychology our mind is our inner world and is the action of complex neural structures in the brain. For example when a child shrinks in fear from the spider, the child brain has attended to the spider, computed that its a potential threat and signals danger.
