hmmm.. vague to ako post last time.. then i hope this is more clearer
ancient people describe natural phenomenon on what they percieved it to be. perception is based on a person's education and experience.. religion is an early science.. we all know that the greeks believed there are only 4 elements.. thats how they decribed the world... because its all they know.. they dont even understand lightning... so when seeing a lightning.. one might say na " a sword of light came down from heaven to smite the sinner".. because thats what they understand at that time..
the romans even even call elephants, demons from hell because they do not know what they are when they saw it in battle.. the people during those times described what they see or hear in terms of something that the other people can understand.. (if pwede time travel, try daw pagpakita flashlight sa ila, mo ingon jud cla nga ikaw sugo sa ginoo)
now.. in terms of religion..
we all know that the earth was made from gases in the universe... now what made the universe? the big bang? now.. what made the big bang? who made it happen?
who or what made the universal laws that govern nature?
then this...
how can life, be made from inanimate materials? how can entities capable of reasoning be made from particles that have no intelligence? we all know that a computer, needs a programmer and a creator to run.. whos is our programmer? who is our creator?
then this..
how come, people from different civilizations with almost no contact with each other, believe in the presence of the divine being.. all religions of the world believe that there is a creator.. whys is this?
science teaches us more about the universe which we live in.. religion reminds us where it all came from...
science without religion is lame
religion without science is blind
