indie- term coined from the independent record label that most of these bands are signed to
pop = influence from music style of the 60-70's that are characterized jangly guitar, catchy riffs...musical arrangement influenced by Bjorn and Benny of Abba- sweedish pop

sweden indie scene is the best when it comes to indie pop,jangle pop,tweepop what have you...listening to camera obscura,acid house kings,taken by trees,club 8 etc. will surely makes you happy...

@ sonikfish- have to agree that most of the indie pop bands from scotland and sweden really knows their POP
Abba was one of the most successful POP artist during their time and they're from Sweden even until now Bjorn and Benny are still making music behind scenes, arranging and composing for other artistis.
