Section 3. QUALIFICATIONS
The READS must:
3.1. be a Roman Catholic;
3.2. qualify in the following:
3.2.1. pre-screening requirements,
3.2.2. psychological tests, and
3.2.3. the Preliminary and Final Interviews;
3.3. undergo Orientation session;
3.4. pass all the medical requirements.
3.5. undergo the probationary 2 weeks (maximum) training period in the department where he / she is assigned; and
3.6. be accepted by the READS Coordinator.
Section 4. REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for a READS Scholarship must pass the following
pre- screening requirements:
4.1. Application letter addressed to the READS Coordinator.
4.2. Latest Income Tax Return of Parents or BIR Certification that the income did not reach the taxable amount (Photocopy).
4.3. Latest Grades: Has subject grades not lower than 80 or 2.5. (Photocopy)
4.4. Certificate of Good Moral Character (Photocopy)
4.5. Birth Certificate (Photocopy)
4.6. Baptismal Certificate (Photocopy)
4.7. 2 copies of 2 x 2 ID picture (colored)
Note : Original copies of documents have to be presented for verification.
Section 5. STEPS IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS
The applicant must fulfill the following:
5.1. Pass in all the pre-screening requirements.
5.2. Fill out READS’ Profile Sheet. Only those who pass the preliminary screening shall proceed to this step.
5.3. Take the Psychological Test at the SDP Center,
5.4. Undergo Preliminary and Final Interviews.
5.5. Submit Medical Requirements :
5.5.1. CBC
5.5.2. Urinalysis
5.5.3. X-ray
Note: Results must be presented to the Medical-Dental Clinic.
5.6. Go through a maximum two-week probationary period in a particular department.
5.6.1. Qualified READS are sent to the department upon request made through the READS Coordinator.
5.7. Secure recommendation from the department where he/she is trained, and proceed to the READS Coordinator for acceptance.
5.8. Acquire READS Acceptance Certificate from the Office of the READS Coordinator.
5.8.1. Acceptance Forms are signed by the Department Head and approved by the READS Coordinator. Copies shall be forwarded to:
5.8.1.1. READS Coordinator
5.8.1.2. Department where READS is assigned.
5.8.1.3. READS
5.9. Sign the READS Agreement.
• Accepted READS has to sign a semestral READS’ Agreement.
Section 6. TESTING SCHEDULE
Psychological testing is scheduled every last Friday of the month.
Section 7. ACADEMIC GRADE REQUIREMENT
7.1. A READS should maintain a grade of no less than 2.5 per
subject.
7.2. Considerations:
7.2.1. A READS will be deloaded 3 units for the next semester if
he/she has:
7.2.1.1. 3 or more subjects having a grade of below 2.5.
7.2.1.2. 2 subjects having a grade of 3.0
7.2.1.3. 1 subject having a grade of 5.0 or Failure/No Credit (NC)
/ No Grade (NG) (due to traumatic experience, health reasons, emergency cases, problems related to adjustment to college life for first year students only).
Section 8. ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
8.1. A READS’ is given a separate enrolment schedule from regular students, and he/she has to:
8.1.1. present grades for evaluation.
8.1.2. sign a semestral READS’ Agreement.
8.1.3. secure enrolment form from the department where he/she belongs.
8.1.4. plot schedules not in conflict with the duty hours of his/her co-READS.
8.1.5. pay a certain amount to the Accounting Office as
entrance fee.

shiftee ko din It ko before thn nishift ko to Commerce din for example..mo apply ko igka next sem 2nd sem 2009..so ila basihan nga grades kay ako grades karon sa commerce course?.....18 unitz ra ako gkuha ron....pwede ka hi ni?
