    I like BP's idea.

for me...Spirituality can never be a religion. Spirituality gives you the freedom of what you think is true while religion BINDS you to creed and dogmas.

Simple ra jud kaayo ang SPIRITUAL and OCCULT na FORUM , post and discuss topics about supernatural phenomena, meditation, aromatherapy, divination (i.e. tarot cards, pendulum, tea leaves) , metapsychics, feng shui, homeopathic (natural) healing, etc. "subjects/topics about what is beyond the physical world"

Religion is not even SPIRITUALITY so help me guys and gals in cleaning up and making this section a hangout haven for the weirdo's like me and and all of you .

    From Sir Springfield...

    hope kebs will read this...

Issues and Controversies (Criticism, Debate, etc) (Note: This is the only area where debates are allowed. Strictly no similar threads to be opened)

So why is this guys attacking Christianity if this is the case? I don't even understand why they use this forum to sell their new belief... hmmmm. I wonder...

    just my two cents.
Categorization has worked in the Sports and Recreation; Software and Games and Buy and Sell. Spirituality is a very diverse discussion if we really come to think of it. Not only there are thousands of religions out there (22,000 for Christianity alone), there are other metaphysical subjects as well as paranormal sightings that people are very interested to know and discuss. If we organize them intuitively, we lead istoryans to go directly to the page they want to read than to do searches everytime the topic is buried.

so the best remedy is just self-restraint on our responses..
I have to agree that self-restraint is also a key. However, if we organize the topics properly we encourage and guide istoryans that there are venues for restrained and unrestrained discussions. Ang nahitabo karon kay almost all topics kay pwede ra paslakan og texto sa bibliya even if it was clear that the discussion requires a secular view of the subject so as to arrive a more reasonable and impartial discussion. Pero pwede ra kag tubagon "Ayaw lang pagbo-ot bro kay mao man ni akong gito-ohan."

There are academic subjects related to spirituality that beg our honest responses only to be ruined by others saying: "Lean not on your own understanding kay the Bible says so." Almost always mao ni ang tinubdan sa lalis nga maabot sa personalan. I'd like to give you an example kanang "Imagine" nga thread ni Nasyo (you check that out kung asa padung pirmi ang lalis). That topic could have been more fruitfully discussed if we categorize it under Philosophy (interfaith, ecumenism, etc). Or if we want to open a debate or criticism on the subject, we categorize it under Controversy. My point is to lead istoryans straight to their comfort zones - to subjects where they can talk among their fellow believers than open the subject to all. My two cents.

    RELIGIOUS CORNER
    --- any topics

    ANYTHING ELSE
    --- any topics

so people will know when to posts when not to... Its hard to discuss when others does not even believe. better talk either from outside or inside exclusively.

But please let me express a bit of my two cents on this

I am not against the idea that this section really needs dire attention, nagpasad na lang ang mga posters who violated so much on the basic forum rules, especially with regards to RESPECT.

    But isn't religion, spirituality?
    define:spirituality - Hanapin sa Google
Spirituality - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Most of the discussions, especially the latest (and the most perverted discussions) in this forum's section, bites more into the spirituality side and not into the occult side. Hence hot religious debates and flame wars.

Maybe this is a call for us, istoryans in the SnO section, to be more polite and be more observant to the forums rules, especially to the respect part.
All I can is that you can be SPIRITUAL and not religious and you can be religious and not SPIRITUAL and you can be both SPIRITUAL and RELIGIOUS. Ultimately, religion is just a vehicle and once spirituality is achieved, religion is discarded!
