honestly, i don't see any point of comparison. they are just doing what they do best- entertain people!

also i can't see a competition between the two given the fact that leno entrusted the late night show to o'brein and in 2009 jay leno will be turning over the late show to conan.

OT: when do you think it'll be possible that a comedian in the Philippines would do what Jay or Dave or even Conan does, poke fun at their presidents, vice presidents, senators.. Bush, Clinton, G Bush and even Cheeney have been regular staples in their scripts not to mention all the previous ones. they're doing it without the fear of getting jailed, prosecuted and the like..

im sure a lot of network can do that however i dont think that kind of tv shows cant be realize at a time where the gov't can just proclaim whatever proclamation there is just for them to avoid those king of "propaganda".

I wondered this myself. It's not goin to be that easy. Americans had late night talk shows for decades. They have embraced this format so its nothing new to them. At the end of the day... it's all for a laugh to them.

Now for a Pinoy comedian to do something similar? We'll he/she could try, but knowing how pikon & egotistical our politicians are... I wouldn't be suprised is he/she is dead the next day.

davids jokes are becoming boring I can't even watch his shows for 3 minutes cause mag duka ko sa iya mga jokes.

But I still commend letterman's late night talk show as a legend status.
