yes i own a car and pay parking is one way to control the use of parking spaces. most of the money collected from parking fees, traffic violations and other means enforced by citom are mostly funding for citom's salary, city projects on road maintenance. we must remember that not all roads are covered by the national tax. some roads are city owned and some are nationally owned. national owned roads are usually no parking roads except for certain occasions or holidays. city roads are usually the one with the parking signs.

it's not that the process is corrupt, peoples mind are corrupt....

and if you ask me honestly, pay parking is a convenience for us motorist, if you have a car and your legal(not corrupt) and free parking space is like 200 meters or more away from where you're going.... ain't that a Bitch??!!

indeed there are a lot of places that are for pay parking. as far as ive seen, sa ato ra pud ning daghan ug pay parking. kay sa uban places sa gawas, its only going to be either no stopping or no parking.

what i just dont get is this. if you notice sa perpetual hospital, naa nay bayad ang parking. akong pangutana, kung ikay nagbantay sa masakiton nya nag park ka overnight, bayad gyapon kag parking by the hour? purdoy pa kas bayranan sa hospital samotan pas parking. toink.

bro, sa perpetual- f you have a patient there, they will give a free parking pass good for one car until ma-discharge ang pasyente.

I agree that paying for a parking is necessary to control users. If there is no payment, then everyone can just leave their car there whole day while there are some other motorists will be needing that space too. Payment is a way of controlling usage.

There is also corruption by some parking aides- they will ask you to pay for say 4 hrs but they'll issue you tickets good for 3 hours and that is based on my experience. I argued with them and that they have to issue me receipts.

With regards to tambays- its your prerogative to give them or not. But make sure you dont park there again. hehe

And lastly- being a motorists entitles you to some convenience and some hassles- part of the hassles are the parking fee... So if you can afford for the car or motorbike and its gasoline, then I'm sure you can afford the parking tickets.

and by the way- there is not a single parking lot in Cebu that will guarantee that they will look after your cars. That would be ridiculous. Dako kaayu na na lalisunon- just imagine, maglalis mo sa single scratch that the owners got on the way there but did not noticed while driving. Maski sa casa, dili ka ka-guarantee ana.

Parking aide or parking collector- no argument for that. you are paying for the parking space. If you need to be guided when parking, then I guess you need to practice driving. No offense meant. Just suggesting.

well, i would pay for parking than ma-tow imong imong sakyanan with more than 2000 pesos imong bayaran.. pili mo..... hehehe there is always a sign nga pay parking and no parking...

i dunno with manila if naa pod ni pay parking... arang gani ta kaysa sa manila dili lang parking fee (kung naa man gani) imong bayaran apil pod ang toll fee....
