dili man. i have lived and worked in manila for the past 7 years and never encountered a tagalog na hambugiro even knowing na bisaya ko. its just how you carry yourself within them. kung insecure ka kay sila nag tinagalog and ikaw ray bisaya aw of course ma hulog dyud na na imo impression is mga hambugero sila. but if you respect them and treat them equally just like anyone else then they will do the same to you. their personality is just like us, and culture is the same. pinoy ra gihapon. kung naay mga maldito ug hambugero ngadto mao ra gihapon sa cebu o bisag asa pa aning kalibutana. only difference is the language. just learn to speak tagalog well and you will eventually become one of them and them of you and it wont matter anymore if kinsay tagalog or bisaya equal mo tanan. i never looked at tagalogs as higher than me nor has any tagalog looked down on me because im from cebu.

on a side note, some of my officemates will be coming to cebu for a weekend vacation and they are very excited especially with our beautiful white sand beaches, coz wala dyud ni sa ila. and one of the first things they said to me is "baka naman maiilang kami dun kasi di kami marunong mag bisaya, tatawanan lang kami?" i told them "ndi naman, mabait naman mga cebuano, sila nga nahihiya pag nag tatagalog ka, mg t-try lang sila mg tagalog din pero english nalang pag hindi kaya

naa jud na sa tagalog na hambog ra kaayo. ma babae or ma lalaki but di tanan. but mo gawas jud na ilang pagka hambog... sayon raman na lupigon sd nimo sa imong hambog.. hahahah

ingon ani nalang sulti-an tamo sa akong experience ha... while we were reviewing for our board exam, we stayed on a boarding house (building) near our review center, with us (cebuanos), were tagalogs, ilocanos, tsabakano, etc...

every evening we go to the roof deck of the building kay it is used as a study area man for everybody. one time, there were a group of tagalogs sitting with us on the long table. one of them asked me "pare, taga saan kayo??" i said, "taga cebu pare..." he answered... "aba, may architecture school pala sa cebu" with matching lingi sa iya mga kauban ug ngisi...

taken aback, i replied, "kayo pare, taga saan kayo?" he answered... "UNIVERSITY OF BICOL" i replied "may architecture din ba sa bicol?"

actually those from bicol are not tagalogs but they speak bicolano which is more or less half tagalog and half bisaya and they have a distinct accent. i know this since ive been going to bicol for a few days every month since 2005 due to my work. and the tagalogs even consider bicol as a "province" just like cebu or any place outside metro manila.

but it would be unfair to generalize all tagalogs as hambugiro coz there are good people there too. in fact they are so many hambugiro cebuanos too just look around you or even in this forums. generalizing them as hambugiros would mean we are the ones discriminating not them
