Cory was a person and her purpose in life was to became President and led the country to democracy and help Filipinos till her last breath.

Back to the topic and EMOTIONAL aside, quite agree that people give her sympathy because she died.

Merits:

Whether we like it or not, Cory has done here part in restoring democracy. Nobody else before stood up and leads a really against Marcoses, and by the way Marcos reign was good.. Tourism in the Philippines was great and crime rate was very small at that time if not only his corruption and greed.

Demerits:

-I was kinda disappointed with her way back in 2005 i think when she ask for GMA's resignation because she was supposed to be a symbol of unity and peace and she failed good ousting GMA.(You don't step on somebody who has stumbled a little bit but you try to help her stand or by not saying something to worsen the situation)
-she gave the country its democracy but most of us become abusive to this attainment, nobody respect the law, everyone becomes more corrupt and thats not only goverment officials but also the police and army generals of the country
-Hacienda Luisita??
-It was in her reign that the economy started to go down.. concidence?
