Communism is a Â*lost cause ...the SOVIET UNION is gone... china now is heading toward free enterprise.. even north korea is trying to experiment with an specia ecomic zone port which is a free enterprise. cuba is communist country but its heading towards Â*free enterprise its like more an authoritorian form the state dont apply communist style in economy but only in security to ensure 1 party sytem no opposition.
what we have here in Â*the rise is Â* democratic-communist characterizarion of what we called progressive sometimes to the extreame leftist yeah a sort of mutants Â*

Just like the rest of those who have read and still are glued to this thread, am very much impressed on the depth of the knowledge of all the contributors regarding the topic at hand, specially Mr Gareb and Ms Free Thinker, the author of this thread. It is offering some sort of a crash course to all interested istoryans to add or subtract from our own personal understanding and convictions regarding the Communist Movement.
With your permission, I would like also to express my layman's thoughts on this topic:
Most importantly, it is heartening to note that most of the contributors believe that the use of arms and the resultant killings in espousing a cause for change are not necessary and should not be considered as the only alternative left for the oppressed to be emancipated. The killings, I also believe can't be justified even if others insist that a violent revolution is what is needed in the Philippines to successfully effect deep rooted reforms in society. We have to find some ways to stop the killings of Filipinos by Filipinos. When peace agreements are finally being forged between Aceh rebels and the government of Indonesia and between the ETA and the government of Spain what maybe are the obstacles in obtaining one between the NDF and the GRP?
hay naku.. pareha ra na.. bsan unsaon pa nmo ug bali mao ra ghapon..
