for a student (my daughter), wherein Microsoft Office 2003 and AutoCAD 2004 ra ang software nga gamiton, would this setup be adequate or adto lang sa Celeron? I noticed nga walay DVD-R drive. So would you guys recommend this or should I go for a Celeron? Some has told me nga Core Duo would be too powerful and I m trying to keep the expense around 15T only, including OS.

For Microsoft Office, it's more than adequate, however, for AutoCad, I won't recommend even a celeron:

Autocad system requirements:

For windows xp:

Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® dual-core processor, 1.6 GHz or higher with SSE2 technology or

For windows Vista:

Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon dual-core processor, 3 GHz or higher with SSE2 technology

For 64 bit:

AMD Athlon 64 with SSE2 technology, or AMD Opteron® processor with SSE2 technology, or Intel® Xeon® processor with Intel EM64T support and SSE2 technology, or Intel Pentium 4 with Intel EM64T support and SSE2 technology

with 3D modeling:

Intel Pentium 4 processor or AMD Athlon, 3 GHz or higher; Intel or AMD dual-core processor, 2 GHz or higher.

Go for at least the Core 2 Duo if you can afford it, preferably with a 64 bit Windows.
