Actually maayo man na inyo gibuhat bro nga you're using your mind rather than accepting what was given to you automatic. It helps greatly to be a critical thinker.

But... (and this goes to all claiming to be atheists)

What are you doing about it? Are you using your critical thinking to really find out for yourself whether there is a God or not? Or are you content with whatever book you've read that 'kind of' made sense with our reality at present? Do you stop there? If so, then you're really not a critical thinker after all. You're merely accepting another thing that's being fed to you automatic!

You don't agree? So what have you done to really find out whether God exists or not? Read more books? Base it from scientific findings? (Remember science has not reached its end yet. What is 'unknown' now actually means 'not yet known'.) Base it from your failures and frustrations in life?

Seems to me you have a long way to go to really know for yourself that God doesn't exist and be a true atheist. As of now, you don't know that God does or doesn't exist. You just read a book or spoke to a friend and accepted it. Doesn't really make any difference.

You are talking of a material god. Sorry brad common sense tells me we are here for a reason and purpose; not believing tells me everything is accident... its a poor logic though! thus denying the purpose.
