Prosperity can only be achieved through Peace and not War. Sayang ang kwarta sa War bro, i hate to say this but military officials ang naka-kwarta sa war (I hope i'm wrong).
your cousin bro is a soldier, im proud of him, he died for our country, condolence for your family.

think also bro sa mga soldiers na namatay fighting this rebels, if our army and air force is well equip for sure we can minimize the casualty and they can do there job effectively. how many generals, captain, liutenants and privates died because of our poor military hardware? think about it..

you will not experience what people experience because your cousin died in mindanao, stay in mindanao and you will know, i grew up in mindanao, duol sa gubat, so i know, have you seen the real situation in these places? maybe in the news, which is superficial.

you need to address the problem in mindanao in every way. how can you defend investment and investorsa and your territory if you dont have an army?

Naa baya ta army bro more than 10x ang gidaghanon, sakto sa food and medical supplies, transport trucks, tanks, sea and air assault machines. Ang kalaban ground troops ra gyud intawon.

I stand firm, military power is not the solution in mindanao. Take for example in the case in Iraq; US has used their most modern military technology, they have killed several top enemy leaders, but the insurgency did never stop; their will always be newer leaders and members.

    The government should probably work-out:
    1. Maintain/mitigate the current peace and order situation in Mindanao (at a tolerable level) using the current military resources; no need to purchase Cobras - dili kaayo ni magamit to stop kidnappings, mas effective siguro ang Cobra helis againts tanks, and attacking enemies in groups far from civilans.
    2. Work on the long-term solutions by addressing the root causes which may include conflict in religion, poverty, injustice among others.
    3. Continue construction of roads and school buildings, medical aids and other projects for the development of mindanao. Supak ang top insrugent groups ani, but this has to be pursued for the betterment of the majority in Mindanao; pwede ra na sila gahinan og bukid or area nga para ila, sabuton lang.
    4. In the future, kung na-develop na ang mindanao, na-address na ang root causes - pwede na mag-offer ang government og political amnesty.

These may sound hard to do but is not impossible.

Bottomline, insurgency in Mindanao can never be stopped through War. We should now give way for Peace.

you think its enough? bro dili ra rebelde ato kontra, we should defend our territory pud. and please tan awa pud ato mga military equipments mga world war 2 pana sila, spend some time pud sa military para ma aware pud ka sa ila situation. liutenant man unta imu cousin, unta ni spend time ka talk niya when he is alive para makibaw ka sa ila needs sa field. kung properly equip ang ato military maybe wala namatay imu cousin.

helicopter? Dili cla ug attack aircraft? Luma naman cguro ang Bronco nga gigamit nla kron oi! 6 units? it's not enough to keep our airspace protected especially from external opponents. It's good against the rebels but still the government needs more concentration on the military if they are to assure Gloria's success in her promise to end the rebellion before the end of her term.

In general, helicopters are better for attacking ground targets provided the rebels/bandits do not have sophisticated anti-aircraft systems (they don't). They can fly slower (even hover out of small arms range) and put weapons on target more accurately, especially with the Cobra's advanced targeting systems.

External opponents? We lost our ability to defend against external threats a long time ago. Our armed forces have since been geared towards defeating internal threats. Restoring our capability to defend against external threats will take trillions, so that's not happening anytime soon.

But I think the Governments should spend Billions, not Trillions in restoring our air defense capability. It's not just the Airforce it's the entire entity itself. If Arroyo wants the rebels dead before her term ends, then it's the Navy, Airforce and the Army that should be improved and not just the airforce because naval supports for airstrikes especially that the rebels are on scattered islands off the coast of Southwestern Mindanao then sea dominance is also needed. 6 Additional Aircrafts are not enough to assure external succes but only internal security. External Defense is greatly needed especially that tensions between powers are somehow starting to rise.

Yes, our current military power is enough for internal threats, and to maintain Peace and Order. UNLESS WILL GO TO WAR, WE NEED BILLIONS TO PURCHASE COBRAS

Cobras alone cannot defend our territory bro, it will take trillions as some here says.

pag-uli sa ako cousin bro after his first assignment, he re-iterated that War is not the solution in Mindanao. nalooy siya sa mga kinabuhi nakalas apil na civilians, mga namakwet nawad-an panginabuhi og mga estudyante na-undang eskwela.

high tech equipments cannot prevent death bro, for death is inevitable at War; It is only in Peace where casualties of war may be void.

mga officials ra dako maka-benifit sa purchases and repairs bro
diha lang ko mag-ask nimu bro kay knowledgeable man pud diay ka.

majority of politicians and voters are dirty dinhi sa pinas bro.
Suggestion ra to ako bro woi, pwede tagaan value pwede ra pud wala. No single person can implement advocacies in Mindanao to stop the insurgency problem; not you, not me, not even Rambo

Let the Peace process takes it course, and not War. Spend billions for the development of Mindanao, including agricultural and livelihood projects, and NOT WAR

Living life in Peace, wohowooho" from the song "Imagine" by J. Lennon
