what is so wrong about people learning about the music of Francis M or Michael Jackson when they died? Not everyone is into classic hip-hop or pop music, specially the kids nowadays.

What is important is that people have learned to appreciate their music and their impact in the music industry. Though a little late. For example, people now realize that Michael Jackson is a great influence for most R&B singers like Ne-yo. Francis M's impact and influence in the local Rap music is just great that it breaks boudaries and language barriers.

What "true listeners" should feel is the elation that people have started to listen to their favorite artists' music, even as much as acquiring their old albums. Shouldn't we be glad that their music has gotten new flame because of the new listeners?

Questioning the motives of "new listeners" is, in my opinion, an absolute joke. When did a certain type of music or an artist become so limited and so exclusive that only a selected few is allowed to enjoy?
