The president issued a suspension of military operations against the MILF just yesterday. This is another opportunity for the MILF to return to the negotiating table and proceed with negotiations to attain peace. After all, the government is always open for such talks if only the other side of the fence will accommodate.

The government has always been open to these negotiations because we all want peace in Mindanao. With the proclamation, the MILF rebels should also do their part of the bargain so that Mindanao will not suffer with the continuous armed conflict.
