i have to agree, though i am open to the idea of affirmative action if indeed it be proven that the conditions are met for it to be made allowable (same with black affrimative action in the US and marginalized sector affirmative action in Brazil). this needs more study though as it is a very sensitive topic.

I don't think that's the issue. It's not even the issue of discrimination (of any sort). The issue is the actual bill itself.

That's the same bad argument they used in the U.S. And what happened is that they ended up practically destroying marriage. The idea of commitment in marriage is destroyed because people get into marriage easily, thinking they always have a way out. The result: 50% of all marriages in the U.S. end in divorce! And the connection between divorce and juvenile delinqucny and drug abuse seems pretty well established. Do you want that kind of idiocy and madness here?

Too bad I don't undertsand Cebuano. I can't really respond to your post. But if you think divorce protects the rights of women, then you've got it all wrong. Divorce victimizes both parties, but worse, it harms the children. And divorce has not lessened the incidence of violence against women in the US.
