@ rynczo - hehehehe wa man ko na hurt sa imung statements bro im just rebutting your comments regarding dili impressive ang grappling win against a stand up and KO win. this is a forum so be prepared nga naay mu debate sa imung comments.

basing on your post its clear na bias ka sa stand up fighting technique since you say na last resort ang ground fighting, murag nag ***** etc...well i understand that, who doesnt love a stand up explosive exchange of punches, kicks and elbows and witnessing a devastating KO? guess everyone does! but my point is this is MIXED MARTIAL ARTS and ang manga fighters mu fight kung asa sila maayo? and GSP is good in grapling/wrestling so ngano man mu stand up cya nga maayo man cya sa ground?

and you cant say na takedowns ang last resort ni gsp kai in all his fights he takedowns his opponents all the time, grappling is his game and not stand up.

Why did machida and anderson silva neutralizet der opponenets

A.Silva VS. Dan Henderson naka limot cguro ka nga silva won by rear naked choke? so submission? so pasabot nimu last resort to ni silva? again this is MMA silva is a stand up fighter pero when the opportunity came in the ground he took it.
A.Silva VS Chris Leben - this is a very easy fight for silva since leben has basically no defense he just comes after his opponent and throws wild punches, silva is an excellent counter puncher so one mistake by leben and boom fight over, even bisping defeated leben.

and if you forgot A.silva won his fights against T.lutter, Nate marquardt and dan henderson in the ground. so grappling diay to? meaning last resort to ni silva?

Machida vs Evans both guys are counter punchers so it was basically a chess match and it was clear that a mistake by evans led to some great counters from machida.

gamay paman gud naka baw anang BJJ maong ng, 1st impression nila kung magpalaban sa ground ang fighter(which is for me, their last resort)
maka-ingon gyd ang tao nga “oi binayot mana”, “mura mn og nag k&yat” diba sakto ko bro?....
mao na naka ingun ko bro nga you dont understand MMA kai pabor kaayo ka sa stand up and you discriminate BJJ and ground fighting to the extent na mu ingon ka binayot, mura nag ***** unsa pa...

kung kasabot paka sa BJJ/Grappling you will appreciate take downs, guard passing, transition from full guard, to side mount to full mount and executing submissions dili jud ka maka ingun na binayot na cya kai pwerte lisuda ana buhaton.

There are grapplers, jiujitsu guys, judokas and wrestlers in MMA the same as there are Boxers, muay thais and karate fighters. example: Demian maia? all wins in the UFC is by submission does that mean na last resort jud niya perme ang ground fighting? dili, mu fight cya sa ground because mao na iya strength, same as Machida, he is black belt in BJJ but he prefers stand up? why? because thats his strength, and lastly GSP, he has karate background but he is the most successful UFC fighter in taking down and GNP his opponent so why stand up when your strengths is grappling? and by the way GSP almost knocked out alves with a superman punch? stand up mana dba?

im just debating your comments, lain2x man ta point of view so di jud ta magka sinabot.hehehehe anyway lingaw2x lang gud forum mani.

Affliction Entertainment and M-1 Global are looking for a new opponent to face Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction “Trilogy” on Aug. 1 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

Multiple sources have told Sherdog.com that the California State Athletic Commission will not license Josh Barnett after a positive test result. Calls to Affliction Entertainment were not immediately returned. The CSAC said a comprehensive statement would be issued Wednesday.
    Update: Fedor-Barnett Bout in Jeopardy

Like they said, "Power" thrills but "Speed" kills... IMHO, Vera's just too fast but we don't know... this certainly is a much tougher fight than Hamill...

certainly a much difficult fight for vera but it will also yield great rewards... we just hope the truth will show up hungrier and more motivated than ever, no question about his skills but his motivation and hunger is still in question...

Dana white talked about wanting fedor after UFC 100! if affliction folds, where will fedor fight? strike force? they have overeem, werdum and rogers a much weaker HW division than the UFC!

Tom Atencio: Josh Barnett Out vs. Fedor Emelianenko, Card Still On

Tom Atencio, the head of the Affliction MMA promotion, confirmed to FanHouse on Wednesday morning that Josh Barnett has been pulled out of his scheduled August 1 heavyweight title fight with Fedor Emelianenko. But Atencio said he still expects the Affliction Trilogy card to take place as scheduled.

Atencio said Barnett failed a drug test and therefore the California State Athletic Commission will not permit him to fight.

"He tested positive for a banned substance," Atencio said of Barnett. "The athletic commission will not reinstate his license."

When asked if the August 1 MMA card was off, Atencio said only, "Him and Fedor is off."

Asked whether the Affliction: Trilogy card at the Honda Center in Anaheim was still going on as planned on August 1, Atencio answered, "At this point, yes."

Atencio gave a terse "no comment" when asked about a Sherdog report that Vitor Belfort and Bobby Lashley were the two potential opponents for Fedor on August 1. He also declined to speculate on whether a deal could be worked out to have Fabricio Werdum, whose August 15 fight with Alistair Overeem was canceled yesterday, might be Fedor's opponent.

When asked what he'd like to say to MMA fans, Atencio answered, "Just look for updates. ... I'm working on getting the best replacement possible."
