It depends upon the situation either you can sacrifice it or uphold it,there are some instance that you have to swallow your pride because the situation calls it,ex. quarrel between a husband and wife,the wife is right and the husband is wrong,but to fix things up eventhough the husband is the head of the family he must admit his fault. One can uphold his pride as to defend or maintain honor and prestige,like a woman she should maintain her pride for generating self steem to gain respect as a being of purity and chastity.
