It all comes down to patriotism. To love one's country for the good of all and not just for self gain. This is the root of all our problems. With the symptoms being:

    1. Corruption - people resort to this because they are placed at a hopeless state where an honest days work will not put food on the table. Their dependency on this also causes greed where their acquired wealth allows them to get more and more to fuel their insatiable habit.

    2. Slow Economic Dev't - People have the mindset that the situation is hopelss so they find means to leave the country to seek greener pastures. With the country loosing its greatest minds and highest skilled workers to better opportunities abroad, how can the country improve?

People have to ask what they can do to help their country instead of the other way around. Maybe focus more on long term goals sacrificing the short term, instantaneous but short lived rewards. It's a matter of sacrifice, determination and belief that it can be done.
You have a great idea. I admire it.

If you were working here in the Phils with third world salary despite your credentials, does that mean you are not giving the right value?

I am not saying that the resident of one countries workers should make more or less. I am attempting to point out that the cost of a workers wage cannot exceed the value or selling price of the good or services he/she produces. Take the example of productivity. Company A's workers take 10 hours to produce 1 guitar, and Company B's take 2o hours. Guitars are alike in all product and performance aspects. The difference lies only in the differnet manufacturing processes, hence Comany A's workers are more efficient (i.e., produce the same output with less resources). Given that free market will allow for similar selling prices, what should the respective wages of Company A and Company B workers be. All workers worked hard but they produced different value. Wage structures are complex and are based on a number of determinants, like skill set, availablility of workers, but most of all the value of the worker's contribution. You would not pay the janitor the same as the CEO just because both worked hard. the key to making more more, develop a set of skills that is in demand by the markets, and produce, produce, produce. If you do that you can attain real wealth.

Read it and realized the answers to your questions.
In all forums, discussions, and debates one should be able to debate issues pointing out the relevant pro's and con's of an idea. Re-directing others to read this resource and that resource is counter-productive. You as the expert on HT should be able to condense and present all your knowledge on this topic in a concise format. This demonstates your knowledge of this theory as compared to others, and others opinions on the same subject. If we all, just said read this read that, then we would all be off reading and not discussing and debating. Demonstrate your passion and excellence in this area and logically debate the points and issues.

In china a few decades ago, they decided to do something with their population.
    So they passed a law
that limits every couple to only have one child for the first ten years of their marriage.
They can have the second child on the next 10 years.

    The punishment:
1 year imprisonment if you violate it
or a penalty to pay equivalent to one year of your salary.

    Now they solved their problem.

Lacson also planned to make a similar move.
I Just wish that he will run for president.
We really need someone who has the guts to make realistic and tough reforms.
I know he is guilty of other things. I'm not that naive.

I just wish we get serious about our population problem.
We can only start with our own family.
In that case, you'd better start campaigning against the Catholic Church's stance on contraception.

the first step would be to surgically remove the tumors that plague the land. all other alternatives are just plain palliative treatment and does not address the core problem.

The politicians wont enact or enforce laws that allow them to be taken off the gravy train. Look at the long list of politicans who are charge with fraud and corruption. What consequences happen to them? Expecting them not to be themselves is unrealistic. As long as the population puts up with it there will be no real change. If real change cant come from within then maybe it should come from the outside. Maybe the Phils should try outsourcing there goverment to someone with ethics?

Lol@ above post. in someways i agree with you. thats why i said the only solution is to remove the cancer and hope the other little tumors will just wilt away

Look at what Japan is doing now, they are dismantling the current parties and enacting general elections. At some point, you have rid yourself of the corruption. The power is in the people but people sell their votes and futures for mere pesos. Dont let someone buy your vote, let them earn it.

Yes my outsourcing of goverment was a joke. Something new has to be done, otherwise the Phils will continue to live its version of "Groundhog Day".

    Default Original Theory: Hyperwage Theory

I heard the author say on Leo lastimosa's morning program, that the controversy and the attacks against Hyperwage Theory, proves that it is an original theory, nobody has thought of it or would like along these lines because it is an idiotic theory according to conventional economics.

He further said, that his worry later on will be that many people will CLAIM to have invented the theory. That many economists will say, "I had this idea before, I discussed this idea in class etc..

    But dont forget

everybody is happy to get double wages expense for the 13th month pay

and our doctors are lowering their dignities to work as nurses in the US

and our teachers are toilet cleaners in Singapore

    in the Hyperwage countries..

think big, dont think small my friends.
