Hello boys (and men, and older men) and gals! The EW meet was awesome, I got to meet my local idols (Amor and Santini, oh and Zerk heh). Turns out they know my buddy Kyle from their Popcorn days and that made it much easier for me to get to know them. Charlo dude draws awesome pseudo-manga style stuff. And I kept on going "RAMINI ANG BATANG BRONSI", sorry man, can't help it. Ramini's drawing style feels like Powers (Oeming), but not really like it. Preloader just talks to d-beagle (uyy). And Mike.. hi Mike.

And as promised, here's the scans for the group sketch and Zerk's and Weebong's Delirium. Click the image for the full view.

Sketch by Zerk, Santini, Ramini, Preloader, Weebong, d-beagle, and me

@all: While Weebong will host the nature drawing session, we do expect people to share their unique styles in drawing nature. I will lend Weebong Jack Hamm's Drawing Scenery: Seascapes and Landscapes tomorrow to prepare for the next meeting.

Let us all take it easy next Sunday by focusing only on three nature groupings. I suggest we start with

    a. trees and foliage (1 hour)
    b. rocks and mountains (1 hour)
    c. clouds and skies (1 hour)

We would appreciate it if you can bring photo references of trees, foliages, rocks, boulders, mountain ranges (in black and white please).

Then after two weeks, let us meet again for another drawing session and the subjects would be:

    d. oceans, lakes, rivers, and falls
    e. buildings - large and small (zerk, we need you this time for perspective)

    @zerk: Story?

What about a group of friends who do their fathers' dirty work? Their fathers are members of a crime organization. Let us say there are 7 of them. They attack a whorehouse (one of their rival businesses) and kill all the other enforcers there. They do not kill the women, of course because these
are good bad guys (go figure). One of them, for one reason or another, falls in love with one of the prostitutes. The prostitute has a daughter. His father
would have none of it. He rebels and leaves his crew. They wander and his crew hunts him down. The woman dies of AIDS later and the wanderer goes
from town to town with his adopted daughter helping towns with problems of their own (to atone for his sins). He mets other women but the relationship don't last since he is still in love with the now-dead prostitute.

Ultimately in the end, he faces his former crew. Since he is the best, he wounds them all but does not kill them... all but one, his best friend. His best friend lets him go and finds another body (unya na lang details) to blow, burn (or whatever). Final scene: Wanderer holding hands with adopted daughter looking at the sunset.

@diem: Thanks but I forgot the last hour for next week's drawing session.

@all: Last hour (4th hour) - combine trees, foliage, rocks, boulders, mountains, clouds, winds.

So if we start at 2 pm, we should be finished by 6 pm. Please order something from CB ha

Ala lone wolf and cub. love the concept though, with a able writer and script.. it could work.

@zerk: Well, diem could probably help. The concept is not really new (Equalizer, Kung Fu, Magnificent Seven, etc.). I am hoping that it would be an
action-drama like Road to Perdition but with blood and guts (no censorship like Road to Perdition). The would-be comics has to run long enough to
build the drama (building relationships with adopted daughter, flashbacks to romantic conversations with dead prostitute, the close but not close enough
entanglements with his crew until the end). Of course, there should be plenty of gunfights, hand-to-hand combat, explosions, car chases, etc. in between.
