A lot of its content are wrong. I've seen a lot of stuff like this before even worse. This kind of material is created by people who want to attack the church. I guess they don't have anything else better to do. Or maybe to prove their church is right they attack other churches.

The LDS church has never and will never respond to this kind of attacks because we having nothing to prove to them and although this is very disheartening and sometimes insulting, we still respect them.

But I appreciate you for sharing this video and giving me the chance to correct it. Like I said the best thing for one to know the doctrines of the church (if you really want to know) is to ask church members themselves or even better the missionaries.

Yes the video or whoever made that video based it from LDS doctrines. But I should say he distorted it - even the narrator's voice and the background music - they were manipulative and misleading. If you are a critical thinker you would not immediately believe that video until you've extended your research and looked at both sides. It's just unfortunate so many people fall prey to this kind of manipulation.

The false things about that video are for e.g. Jesus Christ taking many wives while he was here on earth? Endless ***? God taking the form of a human went down here to earth and had sexual intercourse with Mary? I am an LDS and I would say this is not our doctrine.

You just don't know other stuff they throw at us. There are others far worse than this. I'm not going to name names but I don't know why they keep on doing it. Maybe because our church never retaliates against them and they find us an easy target. But despite of all their hard work the LDS church is until now the fastest growing church in the whole world.

The link above is, first and foremost, not from or by the LDS church - although it touched some points in our doctrine. This is our church's website The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The LDS 'version' of the creation would be that God the Father made the whole universe (that includes this world of course). But He was not alone at that time. Under His direction, other heavenly beings were involved in the creation. Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness..."

The thing is the LDS church recognizes these scriptures:
1. Bible (Old and New Testament)
2. The Book of Mormon
3. Doctine and Covenants
4. Pearl of Great Price

I know these scriptures are true and were written by prophets of God. I also know that the Bible alone does not contain the fullness of the gospel and since it is a compilation of a fraction of ancient records that were recovered, I know the Bible is incomplete and contains many discrepancies. While that is not to say that the Bible is not a word of God. The LDS church holds that Bible to be the word of God because it is a compilation of records written by His prophets. The sad thing about it is that it's not complete. There are a lot of books missing and/or were not recovered. It is just but a fraction of the total writings of the prophets in the Middle Eastern area. The Book of Mormon to be another Testament of Jesus Christ that he is our savior and Messiah to compliment the Bible. The Lord has given us other scriptures to prove his divinity and confound all man-made interpretations of the Bible.

It is understandable though that many other religions question some points of the LDS doctrine because they couldn't find it in the Bible like the 'Pre-mortal existence' - that we as spirits already existed before this world was created and that we were sent here to obtain bodies and prove our worthiness to return to God's presence. There are verses in the Bible that points that out but of course the Bible alone cannot prove anything to human beings because we would always have different interpretations. Ever wondered why there are so many Christian denominations now?

And again, I know the Bible, the Old and New Testament, is a word of God. I know it contains records written by prophets of God. I also know that the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price are true, and from God, and were written by His prophets.

mmm from what i have heard lang ni ha ang history daw sa mormons, ang roots daw nila is amish, maw daw na cla as much as they can they will not ride a jeep or any modern transportation. and from my source pud the reason why ang mormons na religion nag separate from the amish community is because amish tend to practice incest, which is a taboo for all of us, and other practices that seems essentials for us to survive, like shave, using of electricity, gas stove, oven, and fashion.

even now naa ghapon ni ang ilang practice na dili kayo cla mo adopt sa modern world, like ang girls dapat mag wear skirt jud, d pwede cut short ila hair, and girl should only have a job na for girls.
